Two and a half years after her album Dogs In Spirit, the gripping debut that retreated into a terrestrial, mythically inhabited landscape in order to explore the darker chasms of the human psyche, Anna Aaron returned with NEURO. Not only the thematic shift but also a first venturing into the realm of electronic music was already evident on the first demos for the album, which were sent to London-based producer David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything) and convinced him immediately. Ben Christophers (known for his solo project and work with Bat For Lashes) and drummer Jason Cooper (The Cure) also joined the team.
